Ezekiel 25 commences a series of condemnations of Judah's surrounding nations for their pride and hatred of the people of God. Initially Ezekiel prophesies against the Ammonites for rejoicing over the destruction of the temple and the sending of the Jews into exile. "I will destroy you and you will know that I am the Lord". Similarly "I will inflict punishment on Moab and give Moab, together with Ammon, to the people of the east". Then God vented his anger on Edom and said "I will stretch out my hand on Edom and kill their men and their animals... and they will know my vengeance because they took revenge on the House of Judah". Finally in chapter 25 judgement is decreed upon the Philistines. "I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath".
