Enjoying Preaching

I was just thinking on the day Liz caught me up in age, as her birthday is in September and mine is in January, that with both of us now in our seventies I am enjoying preaching the Gospel more than ever before and feeling freedom in the Spirit sharing the word. If David Attenborough can still campaign for the environment at a 100, Clint Eastwood can still act at 96 and Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger can still sing in their 80s, then I am certainly going to preach the Gospel while I have health and strength in my seventies! All glory be to God! 🙌

Last night I travelled with the Patos Men's Fellowship to preach the Gospel in the town of São Mamede. School teacher Claudivan led the service, Chico, Dedé and I brought short words, and Pastor Rafael preached from Psalm 95. It was a lovely service.

Happy 99th birthday to our friend and supporter Michael Heard at Bedford who is still playing the piano very well. I have known Michael all my life from Peniel Chapel and Immanuel Church days.
