Paul now challenges the church in Corinth to correct their lives before God because when he gets there for the third visit he "will not spare those that sinned earlier... and Christ will not be weak in dealing with you... examine yourselves!... test yourselves!... for our prayer is for your perfection... and the Lord gave me the authority to build you up and not tear you down... so aim for perfection, be of one mind, live in peace... greet one another with a holy kiss... and may the grace of Jesus, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all".
