6 days before the Passover Jesus went to Bethany for a dinner given in his honour by Martha, and Mary poured half a litre of expensive perfume on his feet and wiped his feet with her hair, but Judas Iscariot complained about the waste of money yet Jesus defended Mary telling Judas to "leave her alone". The next day a great crowd heard that Jesus was going to Jerusalem so they took palm branches and went out to meet him shouting: "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" Jesus came riding a young donkey. Then Jesus declared: "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified... if an ear of wheat falls and dies it produces many seeds... now is the time for judgement on this world... but when I am lifted up I will draw all men to myself... walk while you have light, before darkness overtakes you". Still many would not believe in Jesus fulfilling Isaiah 53: "Lord, who has believed our report?... and Isaiah 6:10 which says He has blinded their eyes". Then Jesus said: "There is a judge for the one who rejects me... that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day".
