I am now half-way through the Gospel of Mark with a synthesis of 8 of its 16 chapters done. Chapter 8 is a watershed one with Peter's confession in John 8:29. Now we go on to the transfiguration, triumphal entry into Jerusalem, The Lord's supper, Gethsemane, the crucifixion and resurrection.
Last night I led the main service in Patos and Pastor Murilo preached very well on "An Anchor for the Soul" (Hebrews 6:19). The sermon brought back to me the old hymn we used to sing at Peniel Chapel when I was a child: "We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure when the billows roll". A beautiful song! 🙌
