Paul starts Ephesians 3 describing himself as "the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles". He says that the mystery of the Gospel had been revealed to him by God that "through the Gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel... sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus... and he had been called to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches in Christ... according to God's eternal purposes... and in Christ through faith we may approach God with freedom and confidence". Then Paul closes the chapter praying for the Ephesians: "I pray that God might strengthen you with power through his Spirit... so that Christ might dwell in your heart by faith... being rooted in love... so that you can understand the vastness of Christ's love... that you might be filled with the fulness of God... because he is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine".
