Now Paul says how he sent fellow-worker Timothy to strengthen the church and encourage them so that no-one be unsettled by the trials and persecution they are going through. "For this reason, when I could stand it no longer I sent to find out about your faith... and Timothy has brought us the good news about your faith and love... and this encouraged us... and night and day we pray to see you again... may God open the way... and may he strengthen your hearts to be blameless and holy at the return of Jesus".
