Tavares Reservoir

On Monday night it rained 117 mm in Tavares (2-hour drive from Patos) and their enormous reservoir there is overflowing with a beautiful waterfall. At Green Pastures it rained 16 mm.

Next month I am going to preach at our second church at Princesa Isabel which is about a two and a quarter hour journey south-west of Patos. I value your prayers. The church is led by Jair and Silvania and is in the borough of Baixa. It will be their 19th church anniversary.

I went out to Green Pastures and boy isn't there are a lot of birdlife! We have Green-barred Woodpeckers nesting and Little Woodpeckers too. Also nesting are Southern Wrens, Rufous-bellied Thrushes and Campo Troupials. All these birds are nesting around the house there.

On Tuesday evening I travelled to the town of Sao Mamede where I preached the Gospel on 'The just shall live by faith' from Romans 1:17, Habakkuk 2:4, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38. It was a lovely service.
