Bob Dalton in Woking was once the chairman of the EAB Board of Trustees and today he is 90-years-of-age, so Marian Rashleigh kindly drove us there to pay him a visit before we return to Brazil on Friday. It was lovely to see him for the first time in years together with his son Ian and his carer Madu. He greeted us in Portuguese when we arrived as he was a missionary in south Brazil many years ago and had visited us twice in north-east Brazil. Bob was sleepy at first but after a while Liz's person-to-person techniques came into their own and she had Bob responding well as she told him about the work of EAB/ACEV. It was beautiful and we certainly felt it had been a really worthwhile visit. We prayed together to end up our visit. God bless you Bob!
A terrible road accident occurred on Monday on the road we will be travelling on at the end of the week between Campina Grande and Soledade. The accident involved 2 lorries and 4 cars and killed 6 people in one of the cars and gravely injured a 7th person in the same car. The fatal victims were all from the town of Juazeirinho where we have a church. 8 other people are in hospital recovering.
Yesterday we took a train to London to go and see the new musical "Paddington" at the Savoy Theatre for which my sister Jean kindly gave us tickets. The musical is good, but not brilliant. The music is good but not inspired with the best song being "marmalade"! There are some good dance sequences especially the part with the Buckingham Palace guards dancing. It was a lovely evening out.
This will be my last post on this UK/Switzerland tour as we fly back to Brazil on Friday. We value your prayers. My next post here will be in Brazil.
Deus os acompanhe e traga vocês em paz.!!! Estamos ansiosos e saudosos. !!! Boa viagem!!!!
