Liz and I have just got home in Patos after a superb general conference in Itaporanga. There was a lovely spirit of unity throughout. We had 3 general assemblies and 1 celebration service at which I preached and Pastor Wostenes led. We ordained one new minister, Vera from Ibiara. We gave one new pastor probationary ministerial status, Jair from the second church in Princesa Isabel. We received 4 back into ministerial status as missionaries: Betânia, Antonio, Joselita and Jucineide. We sadly removed one pastor, Gersé from Princesa Isabel, from ministerial status.
Our church at São Vicente do Seridó was moved from the category of medium sized church to large church. We received information about a new church plant in Campina Grande in the borough of Cuités. We also received news of another new church plant planned for the north side of João Pessoa to be led by the Campina Grande Catolé church as from January 2026. This new church plant will be led by Thyago and Letícia. We also decided that Guilherme Santos will go and live and work in Ipueira in 2026 as a missionary.
It was decided that next year's general conference will be in João Pessoa and next years 10-day outreach will be in Soledade. It was also decided that as from August a new Action School will commence at Juazeirinho.
