Liz popped out to Green Pastures on Monday afternoon to bring in 30 mattresses for the EAB Action Schools' teachers workshop being held at our Pastor Frank Dyer School in Patos from Monday to Wednesday this week. This is the first such workshop we've run for our teachers since the pandemic. The mattresses are for the teachers to sleep on the floor at the school and they will need to be back at Green Pastures for the weekend's youth camp.
Yesterday Liz and I took part in the teachers' workshop from 8am to 2 pm, enjoying lunch with everyone too. The Action Schools' coordination team, who are running the workshop, are Sacha, Gerlânia, João George and Jacilene. The whole morning yesterday was made up of excellent teaching to refresh everyone in the work they are doing. The teaching carried on in the afternoon and evening. Please pray for the superb work being done by all our teachers.
This week our Patos church youth are running a special youth week with extra activities every day from Monday through to next Sunday. On Monday night they all went to the cinema together and last night they held a sort of fancy dress "Bible Characters" party. Tonight they will have a night of games and tomorrow they will take the entire mid-week service. Then from Friday to Sunday they will be holding a camp at Green Pastures.
